Monsoon Trekk photos 2.

Welcome to the rainforest..Hello leeches..

Dry trees in monsoon too.

After trkking for some seven hours in rain we reached a village which had this empty mandap. We stayed here for the night with all wet clothes..Visiblity was minimum due to mist.

It stopped after the whole night of heavy rains. So we again went to a different direction into the forest in the morning. But again we wer chased by rainclouds.

At last the second day evening we rached the clouds. It always gives me a high to look down at a few mountains.

A villager and his son working in their farm.

@Kris:Leeches don't poison you or anything. They just suck blood and fall down..It doent even sting or hurt..But after a couple of days leech bites will itch like mad.Thats not a tea plantation its radom insides in a jungle........

Although you guys had a lot of rain, your photos are fascinating! Maybe it's because of the mist, I really like the atmosphere.

very magical atmosphere, especially the first photo-looks right out of a fairy tale or a dream(minus the leeches of course).
